“Peace, blessings, and welcome to The Jabez Project. Here we provide for you news and information on what's happening with The Jabez Project and our hip-hop approach to education. We also provide information on our educational techniques, how you can get involved, seminars, how our program can be instituted at schools in your area, and a positive view of hip-hop in its truest essence – “expression.”   We have a remarkable track record of success and a wealth of valuable contacts in the community that believe in this program and its potential. Their support is based on the truth that lives in my passion as a parent and the story of the success of my daughters.

When our oldest daughter, Janiece, headed off to Michigan State University in pursuit of a career in Fashion Design, we were excited for her – not just as parents, but as witnesses to the fruits of her labor. Mid-way through her 7th grade year, for the first time in her life, she began to struggle academically. Our approach to this issue was a revolutionary technique designed to help us regain control of her academic path. Our techniques worked. Upon graduation she held a 3.8 GPA and a score of over 1800 on the New SAT Test. She also took the PSAT and SAT II tests which generated a barrage of interest letters from colleges such as Yale, Harvard, Princeton, Rice, St. Johns, and New York University. Janiece’s sister, Mekaela, benefited from similar techniques and was one of the few African Americans in her graduating class to be on the honor role all three years of middle school. Our son, Milan, who is in elementary school, is at the head of his class as well. Both Milan and Mekaela attend schools in the Oakland Unified School District and continue to benefit from the individual techniques we have established for each of them.
